Use this Annotated Bibliography Template to help you organize and type up the Annotated bibliography. Create a title that reflects your research topic. For example:<\/div>\n

As you saw from the example in Learning activities, each \u201cannotation\u201d starts with a citation, typed as a hanging-indentation and followed by paragraphs. Use the template to help you set up the formatting.<\/div>\n

The whole paper should be double-spaced; the citations\/annotations should be ordered alphabetically by article author or by title if there is no author.<\/div>\n

Begin each entry with a hanging-indent citation, as is illustrated in Jennifer Stubbs\u2019 example. Immediately under each citation, write one or two paragraphs of annotation that includes the following:<\/div>\n
Summarize the important points of the article using paraphrase with some pertinent quotation. Use appropriate textual references, too.<\/div>\n
Assess the quality of the article, briefly. Is it credible, biased or unbiased, argumentative, entertaining, complicated, etc.? Why?<\/div>\n
Reflect on how you hope to use the source in your paper. For example, will it provide another opinion than most of the articles? Will it help define your subject and be helpful in the opening? Or, will it be more helpful near the end of the paper when you discuss solutions?<\/div>\n

Final Reflection<\/div>\n
After the six entries on articles, add a final paragraph for your annotated bibliography evaluating the assignment itself. What was the hardest part? What did you learn? What, if anything, are you still unsure about? Do you feel you are closer to writing a research presentation? Why or why not?<\/div>\n
