Research Assignment Overview: <\/p>\n

Each student will choose a political science essay topic subject to substantial debate. Following the standard research  <\/span><\/div>\n
essay format, students will write a 4\u20135-page paper arguing their positions on their topic. ( The United States should drop criminal convictions and stop future incarceration for drug use.) (This is basically the side you are arguing you can word it differently if needed.)<\/div>\n
Students will\n<\/div>\n
use no less than five sources which must be used in text and properly cited. Sources must be from\n<\/div>\n
reputable academic publications or media institutions (i.e., do not cite Facebook or other such\n<\/div>\n
unreliable publications). Papers are expected to be succinct, free from major grammatical and syntax\n<\/div>\n
errors, and follow sound logical argumentation. Papers found to be or contain plagiarized material will\n<\/div>\n
receive a grade of zero for the assignment.\n<\/div>\n
Requirements:\n<\/div>\n
1. 4-5 pages 1,000-1,250 words\n<\/div>\n
2. Minimum 1,000 words.\n<\/div>\n
3. Minimum of 5 academic sources\n<\/div>\n
4. Double spaced 12-point times new roman font.\n<\/div>\n
5. Any form of citation you are familiar with (i.e., Chicago style, MLA, etc.).\n<\/div>\n
6. All papers must include a works cited page (not to be counted as one of the 4 or 5 pages).<\/div>\n
