In the slides notes you should write everything I say in the presentation cause I am going to read it in the presantationso add all the lengthy explanationin the notes and it should take me at least 15 minuets to read.<\/p>\n

Current event summary I wrote<\/p>\n

The Israeli Supreme Court has recently ruled that non-Orthodox who converts to Reform or Masorti Judaism within the state of Israel are eligible for Israeli citizenship under the Law of Return. This decision overturns an old policy that only recognized conversions that was approved by orthodox rabbis. Jewish organizations around the world praised this decision, seeing it as a step in the direction of tolerance and diversity within the Jewish community. However, multiple ultra-Orthodox leaders, Who think that only their interpretation of Jewish law should be acknowledged by the state, have criticized it. This decision is probably going to remain a topic of debate and discussion in Israeli society and the larger Jewish community. In my presentation, I am going to discuss this topic further more and I am going to talk about the history of who is and isn’t a jew in Israel as this has always been a subject of debate.<\/p>\n
