Ryan, a 32 years old man, has self-presented to ED voicing concerns that\n<\/div>\n<div>his food has been poisoned by the staff at McDonald\u2019s. Until March 2022, he worked as an IT\n<\/div>\n<div>technician however, he was made redundant due to corporate restructuring. He has been unable to\n<\/div>\n<div>secure a job since. In April 2022, he left his share house because he was concerned that his\n<\/div>\n<div>housemate was poisoning his food at home. Since then, he has travelled around the country, staying at\n<\/div>\n<div>motels and backpackers. He has spent all his money and has been sleeping rough for the past six\n<\/div>\n<div>weeks. Ryan\u2019s mother lived with schizophrenia and died two years ago due to cardiovascular disease.\n<\/div>\n<div>Ryan\u2019s father remarried when Ryan was ten and has not been in touch since. It is unclear if Ryan has\n<\/div>\n<div>other close relationships. Ryan has agreed to be referred to the homeless outreach team for follow-up\n<\/div>\n<div>after assessment by the emergency mental health team.
