The detailed descriptions in this poem make it ideal for illustration and visual support. For this assessment, you will merge your creative abilities with your literary understanding. You will create your own shortened version of this poem and create a visual rendition of this poetic feast. The thesis statement for the project is: One theme for \u201cThe Rime of the Ancient Mariner\u201d by Samuel Taylor Coleridge is redemption. The actions of the Ancient Mariner illustrates his need to seek redemption through his journey through the epic<\/div>\n
This is where you creativity comes into play; decide on a method you would like to use: powerpoint, a comic strip, a storyboard, or perhaps a series of separate illustrations. I have created a powerpoint you are welcome to use, but you are encouraged to allow your creativity to flower. However, you must follow the directions and provide all of the data required to receive credit for the project.<\/div>\n

There are seven parts to \u201cThe Rime of the Ancient Mariner\u201d and you are to select three stanzas from each part to analyze, provide an image to illustrate the quote, and discuss the quote; all cited using correct Modern Language Association (MLA) format.
