Describe which broad currents are especially highlighted in each strategy, comparing and contrasting between strategies.

– Three main sections:

o Select three “broad currents”. For each current:

 Concisely define and describe the current, using the literature.

 Describe the extent to which this current is present in the strategy – explicitly, implicitly or not at all – in the two strategy documents (note that excluded currents may be just as enlightening as included ones). Compare and contrast between the strategies.

 For each current, comment on the extent to which the discourse in the strategy document implies that it is included in the interests of: (a) students (undergraduate, postgraduate taught and research students); (b) staff at the university; (c) the University as a whole; (d) society at large. Discuss the extent which the research you have covered during the course and as part of your own reading suggests that this inclusion actually serves these interests. Use ideas and make connections from across the material covered in the sections on Learning Theory, Pedagogy, Curriculum, and Assessment.

– Conclusions:

o Summarise the points from the earlier sections to briefly describe how you would expect the teaching and learning experience to look in each institution. Pay attention to drawing conclusions about: the extent to which the broad currents studied as part of the course are reflected in the strategy documents; and the extent to which the research suggests that they serve the interests of learners and academic staff.

Requirements：A

Your assignment will provide a comparison of the University of Glasgow’s teaching and learning strategy with that of another UK university.
