You and a couple of your fellow college friends created a startup hospitalty business called Oasis Hospitality to generate money while in college. The hospitality company (start-up business) has been more successful than you <\/span>and your partners expected, so you have decided to establish it as your full-time business upon <\/span>graduation. While you all still live in Florida, you, your partners, and the company\u2019s advisory <\/span>board are not sure Florida is the best location. Therefore, you have agreed to research the issue, <\/span>write an analytical recommendation report, and prepare a persuasive recommendation <\/span>presentation. You will research Texas and compare it with Florida. Make up what your hospitality company is and write a brief introduction on your company. <\/span><\/p>\n

Using your research, compare and contrast Florida with the other state you<\/span><\/div>\n
selected– analyze the advantages and disadvantages of the two locations.<\/span><\/div>\n
Draw conclusions and recommend why Texas provides the best <\/span>chance for your company\u2019s long-term success\u2014present your rationale, and <\/span>acknowledge any disadvantages\u2014be able to explain why you\u2019d recommend Texas<\/span> despite those disadvantages.<\/span><\/div>\n
FORMAT: <\/span><\/div>\n
1. Use headings and organize your report using the direct approach of stating<\/span><\/div>\n
the problem, analyzing Why Texas is the best location in terms of the critical factors <\/span>relevant to your company\u2019s needs, and stating\/justifying your recommendation. The report <\/span>should be complete (i.e., provide solid evidence and support), and concise.<\/span><\/div>\n
2. Include a minimum of two tables and two figures.<\/span><\/div>\n
Introduce each table and graph in the paragraph before each provided table or chart for<\/span><\/div>\n
easy reference. Name your figures, charts, graphs: For example —- Figure 1, Map 1….<\/span><\/div>\n
Etc. Provide the source citation under each figure, chart or map.<\/span><\/div>\n
3. References: To demonstrate that you are basing your analysis, conclusions, and<\/span><\/div>\n
recommendation on substantive and credible evidence, include a minimum of TEN<\/span><\/div>\n
DIFFERENT IN-TEXT references for secondary information found on outside sources, and<\/span><\/div>\n
attach an APA- formatted reference list on the final page. Center the word References and<\/span><\/div>\n
do not underline the word. <\/span><\/div>\n
Limit your memo report to between 1,000 and 1,500 words (excluding<\/span><\/div>\n
the memo headers, headings, tables, figures, and references).<\/span><\/div>\n
