We all want to be happy. At the same time<\/p>\n<div>many of us expend a great deal of time and energy chasing happiness with less than\n<\/div>\n<div>satisfactory results. This assignment requires you to research, design, apply, and\n<\/div>\n<div>critically evaluate an evidence-based experiential program designed to increase\n<\/div>\n<div>happiness. 1) Begin by reading Chapter 2, Chapter 3, and the \u201cForeword to Part Two\u201d (pp\n<\/div>\n<div>27-87) in the Lyubomirsky (2007) book \u201cThe How of Happiness\u201d\n<\/div>\n<div>\u2022 Pay particular attention to the sections relevant to this assignment(you\n<\/div>\n<div>might have to go back and reread them as you start planning for this\n<\/div>\n<div>project).\n<\/div>\n<div>\u2022 Please also review the references for the above sections of the book \u201cthe\n<\/div>\n<div>notes\u201d (pp. 316 &#8211; 324) and identify journal articles that may be relevant\n<\/div>\n<div>for this project (these will be super useful in the \u201cliterature review\n<\/div>\n<div>sections\u201d of the final paper).\n<\/div>\n<div>2) Complete the Oxford Happiness Questionnaire and the Person-Activity Fit\n<\/div>\n<div>Diagnostic (or if you have already completed these \u2013 gather your results on them).\n<\/div>\n<div>3) Follow the steps outlined below\n<\/div>\n<div>4) Do research into the program being undertaken, the measures used, and on the\n<\/div>\n<div>specific activities you ended up with after completing the Person-Activity Fit\n<\/div>\n<div>Diagnostic\n<\/div>\n<div>\u2022 You should do the research into the activities before you start the\n<\/div>\n<div>experiential part of this project (the other parts can come later as youstart\n<\/div>\n<div>to compose paper)\n<\/div>\n<div>5) Write your essay covering all steps following directions and covering all\n<\/div>\n<div>steps\n<\/div>\n<div>6) Submit your paper to me online using link online (not emailed) by deadline<\/div>\n<div>You are expected to do the following in preparation for this essay:\n<\/div>\n<div>\u25fb Review the corresponding chapters and sections of the Lyubomirsky book\n<\/div>\n<div>\u25fb Identify, collect, and review relevant journal articles mentioned in the\n<\/div>\n<div>Lyubomirsky book (to help you complete activities and for the literature\n<\/div>\n<div>review)\n<\/div>\n<div>\u25fb Identify, collect, and review relevant 4 &#8211; 6 additional journal articles \u2013 not\n<\/div>\n<div>mentioned in the Lyubomirsky book (ideally newer ones published following\n<\/div>\n<div>the 2007 publication of the book). Make sure to use these in literature\n<\/div>\n<div>review, include these original items in the reference list and the additional\n<\/div>\n<div>appendix mentioned above.\n<\/div>\n<div>\u25fb Engage in 4 weeks of happiness increasing activities.\n<\/div>\n<div>\u2022 Each week must include all three activities \u2013 and, as applicable,\n<\/div>\n<div>each type of broad activity must be engaged in at least twice each\n<\/div>\n<div>week. (although you may do different aspects of the activity)\n<\/div>\n<div>\u2022 So, for example, if you have \u201clearning to forgive\u201d \u201ctaking care of\n<\/div>\n<div>your body\u201d and \u201cpracticing spirituality\u201d as your activities &#8211; each\n<\/div>\n<div>week you should be doing AT LEAST 2 activities related to each of\n<\/div>\n<div>the 3 broad activity categories.\n<\/div>\n<div>\u2022 The Lyubomirsky book has suggestions for activities. You are free\n<\/div>\n<div>to find more in journal articles and \u2013 as warranted \u2013 to be creative in\n<\/div>\n<div>finding \/ creating activities\n<\/div>\n<div>\u25fb Execute your program over 4 weeks and collect data \/ keep process notes.\n<\/div>\n<div>\u25fb Write the paper as you go\n<\/div>\n<div>\u25fb After completing the activities &#8211; retake the Oxford measure and compare\n<\/div>\n<div>test and retest results.\n<\/div>\n<div>\u25fb Evaluate your program by indicating what went well, what was\n<\/div>\n<div>challenging, and what, in retrospect, you would change if you were torun\n<\/div>\n<div>the program over again.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Instructions: We all crave the good life.
