The paper must be argumentative\u2014meaning that it contains a clear\n<\/div>\n<div>thesis that takes a position in response to the chosen topic question and is supported by\n<\/div>\n<div>credible and compelling evidence drawn from your own research. The paper can draw upon\n<\/div>\n<div>required course readings, but it must also reference a minimum of three (3) additional\n<\/div>\n<div>scholarly sources (i.e., not the course textbook or the assigned readings). Other types of\n<\/div>\n<div>sources\u2014such as news articles, government reports, data sets, or even social media posts\u2014can\n<\/div>\n<div>(and should!) also be used; but these will supplement rather than substitute for conventional\n<\/div>\n<div>scholarly sources (e.g., journal articles, academic books) and thus do not count as part of the 3\n<\/div>\n<div>required sources. All of your sources must be cited using proper APA format, both in-text and\n<\/div>\n<div>in a bibliography at the end of the paper.
