You don\u2019t need a formatted AB for this, but you do need to identify the terms and their definitions.  What you need is an overarching body\u2019s (e.g., American Heart Association, Centers for Disease Control) statement with agreed upon definitions for what you are reporting.  For instance, you need a definition for hypertension, and any other associated terms if that are for your area.   <\/p>\n<div>2.\tMagnitude of the problem (several refs probably).  You don\u2019t need a formatted AB for this, either.  However, you need references that clarify the size of the populations affected and costs of the disease you are reporting on.  Include data on prevalence, incidence, economic cost to the US\/world directly and indirectly, etc.\n<\/div>\n<div>3.\tYou will need a formatted AB (as per the Early AB) for these:\n<\/div>\n<blockquote style=\"margin: 0 0 0 40px; border: none; padding: 0px;\">\n<div>A.\tMeta-Analysis (1 ref):  Shows that the research in this area is reliable and consistent.<\/div>\n<div>B.\tX-sectional study (1): Good for prevalence and showing correlation with comparison of PA vs. non-PA or good vs. poor diet on outcome.<\/div>\n<div>C.\t(Retrospective) case-control (1): Good for prevalence differences ultimately developing odds ratios (OR)<\/div>\n<div>D.\t(Prospective) cohort (2): Good for incidence differences and developing relative risk (RR)<\/div>\n<div>E.\tRCTs (2 refs; experiments that manipulate a variable): Good for causation and showing differences between those who are involved in the factor (e.g., good diet) and those who are not.  This is good for helping to describe mechanism (biological plausibility).  Animal studies are allowed here.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>F.\tNegative study (1): Sometimes data\/research refutes positions.
