What do we\n<\/div>\n<div>know about your topic and what do we still need to learn? For this section, provide a\n<\/div>\n<div><i><b>\u201creview\u201d of a minimum of 6 research studies.<\/b><\/i> Provide a summary of each study including\n<\/div>\n<div>its purpose, its participants, and how it was carried out, along with your assessment of\n<\/div>\n<div>what this study does and does not tell us. Conclude your state of the evidence section with\n<\/div>\n<div>a one or two-paragraph overview of the need for new research on your topic: how does\n<\/div>\n<div>the previous knowledge lead us to your research question? Make a statement of your\n<\/div>\n<div>research purpose, based on this conclusion.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>3) <b><u>Method<\/u>:<\/b> Propose a research study and describe the approach you would take to generate\n<\/div>\n<div>new knowledge, most useful to answer your research question. Clearly describe your\n<\/div>\n<div>imaginary plan. For example, who would be included in your sample, what will be your\n<\/div>\n<div>criteria? How would you gather your sample? What would you ask of your participants?\n<\/div>\n<div>What methods would you use to collect data, e.g., surveys, observations, participant\u0002observations, interviews, focus groups, document analysis, or other? Why? Use at least\n<\/div>\n<div>two sources about research methods to support your plan and justify your method<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>4) <b><u>Expected implications:<\/u><\/b> Explain why you think your proposed project will be useful for\n<\/div>\n<div>program design and policy implications for families. Do not make assumptions on what\n<\/div>\n<div>results you will come up with, because you cannot know and don\u2019t want to be biased\n<\/div>\n<div>before you do the study. Instead, propose how your research can make a difference, or\n<\/div>\n<div>how your results might be used, based on what you know on the topic.
