The readings open important questions about the functioning of power in global citizenship, such as: who is culpable for inequities? Who has power to act? Who benefits from development efforts, and how? How do global relations of power (e.g. colonialism, racism, etc.) impact global citizenship, even in subtle ways? How might power be more equitably shared in international service learning and development work?
