Research Proposal<\/p>\n

In ancient Greece, the consumption of alcohol was a common practice that played a<\/div>\n
significant role in social and religious rituals. Wine was the most popular alcoholic beverage,<\/div>\n
and it was produced throughout Greece and the Mediterranean region. In this paper, I wish to<\/div>\n
explore how wine was produced and consumed in ancient Greece , how they viewed its use in<\/div>\n
religious and social contexts and how its consumption may have shaped the cultural practices<\/div>\n
and social dynamics of its society. Additionally, I want to investigate if there was any change<\/div>\n
in the way wine was symbolized and consumed across the Greek timeline. The earliest trace<\/div>\n
of wine consumption in Greece dates back to the end of the fifth millennium BC. These<\/div>\n
traces were found in burned down houses at the Neolithic site of Dikili Tash in northern<\/div>\n
Greece (Valamoti et al., 2015). Using this time period as my base year I would explore how<\/div>\n
wine production and consumption changed. From these evidences I could reason explanations<\/div>\n
on how the people of Greece used wine in social and religious events. For this paper, the<\/div>\n
research topic I have constructed is \u201cHow was the consumption and production of alcohol<\/div>\n
viewed by Greeks , and what role did it play in religious or social rituals? Also, did it evolve across the <\/div>\n
Greek timeline? <\/div>\n

Is the introduction focused around a clear thesis argument, with relevant background information and supporting arguments laid out in a logical and effective order, and a coherent conclusion?<\/div>\n
5. Style (10 pts)<\/div>\n
Does the essay fulfill the requirements of the essay as specified in the assignment, including structure, length, citation use and style, bibliography, page numbers, and title? Do the language, syntax, grammar, and vocabulary of the paper fulfill expectations for analytical writing at the college level? Has the paper been adequately proofread and spell-checked?<\/div>\n
