History of  Religion and Society in Latin America<\/font><\/u><\/i><\/b><\/h2>\n

ways. <\/span>Important primary and secondary sources will be discussed in this course, from foundational documents <\/span><\/pre>\n
of <\/span>the Cold War to the screeds of Catholic traditionalists and the theological arguments of liberationists, <\/span><\/pre>\n
from chapters from awardwinning historical monographs to important recent theological arguments.<\/pre>\n
The course will take an interdisciplinary approach to the studies of RELIGION AND SOCIETY in LATIN AMERICA, <\/span><\/pre>\n
and explain an aspect of the history of Christianity in Latin <\/span>America that we did not understand before.<\/span><\/pre>\n
    This courrse will also analyze key aspects of the relationships between Christianity and politics in <\/pre>\n
twentieth century Latin America.<\/pre>\n
