You will learn about key components of the scientific method and how each component of research is communicated. The final report will summarize the study you (as a solo researcher or a research team) conducted during the course. The purpose of this assignment is to provide an opportunity to practice academic writing, a specific writing style with norms, guidelines, and standards that differ greatly from other styles of writing.
If you choose to complete your final research paper as a solo researcher, your final research paper should be 8-10 pages (double-spaced, Times New Roman, 12-point font, 1-inch margins).
If you choose to complete your final research report as a research team, your final research report should be 12-15 pages (double-spaced, Times New Roman, 12-point font, 1-inch margins).
Regardless of whether you choose to complete the report individually or in a group, your report should include the following:
